Over the past 12 years the game of "Artistic Pool" has
evolved from a sometimes random "trick shot" competition
into a structured world-renowned, WPA and continental endorsed sport.
Efforts are currently underway to develop "Artistic Pool"
into a hopeful olympic sport!
"Artistic
Pool" is based around 8 disciplines,
each discipline includes it's own set of 4 or 5 shots
which define that discipline.
The
40 shots/challenges within this section originated with the advent
of the modern day "artistic pool" movement in 2000.
They have an historical significance to the days when Mingauld
demonstrated a very creative 40-shot repertoire with his 1827
invention of the "tip".
These 40 shots will remain on this site for your review and practice in honor
of the history of our sport. They provide an excellent "training" ground
for those interested in learning our sport. They are also available via Rick
Malm's "Artistic Pool" Electronic Manual in the products
section
of “Dr. Cue's” site.
SPECIAL
NOTE: The 2005 "Artistic Pool" Professional Tour will use 39
of these shots/challenges and will add 17 "new" ones. This updated
56-shot/challenge program is available via hardcopy purchase or online viewing
at: www.artisticpoolplayers.com
In
addition, you may visit this site to see updates on the 2005
Professional "Artistic
Pool" Tour, IAPA player stats/rankings, event information details, and
